Inflatable SUP Catamaran From Saturn:
Older model of SUP Catamaran with DIY Sail
Quick Tips:
To attach beach chairs to top of paddle boards, use 4 x D-rings and secure chair with optional tie downs or Velcro straps to these D-rings.
Aluminum board with transom can be installed in rear or front of catamaran. Regular trolling motor can be used in rear, or in front if run in reverse. For best experience, rotate control box on top of electric motor 180 degree, by removing screw that holds controls to shaft, rotating it, and re-installing screw back.
For better rigidity of assembled catamaran, inflate it to 80%, install and tightly lace all 4 bench holders, then finish inflation to 10psi.
For stronger lacing, use parallel method, as shown here.
For best speed, get 55lbs trolling electric motor. You will need at least 12V 30Ah battery to run for about 45-1 hour at full speed, depending on weight load and water condition. For much longer run, get much heavier 12V 120Ah battery, or use 2 x 12V 60Ah batteries. Use one battery as far as you want to go, and use 2nd battery to make sure you can get back.
Always carry 2 kayak paddles or kayak paddle that can be split in 2 or at least 2 paddle board paddles, just in case if you need to get back to shore in case of emergency with motor or battery.
Always carry PFD devices, cell phone and whistle just in case of emergency.

Thrilled! Too much fun. Got it inflated in four minutes.
Super sturdy. Well manufactured. Deflated rapidly and fit back easily in cases.
Now, let’s get real on some things. With 2 people, it took 20 minutes to set up and the same amount of time to tear down. This included attaching all of the chairs with all of the straps, (not included) attaching the battery with the straps, (not included) battery case, (not included) attaching the trolling motor, (not included) and attaching oats, (not included).
Thinking a package price for all above would’ve been nice as I had to shop around everywhere to gather everything I needed. Seems like they could’ve made more money off of me if they just would’ve packaged it.
The amount of straps I had to use was ridiculous. It would’ve been nice if they were all pre-there for the chairs to be attached to or not. I don’t care for the ropes included for the aluminum boards. They don’t keep a solid tie and they get very slimy.
Carrying- Ha! Easy in case, inflated and put together, No way. Husband and I can’t carry this together and we’re no weaklings. They don’t have handles or the side, only on the top under the chair. They don’t have them on the front either only little ring hoops to stick your finger through. The do have really nice handles on back. Thank goodness there was a couple of young men with us that helped. But we still need to figure out a way that the both of us can get it to where we need without a proper way to carry it together.
Knowledge gained- PSI pump will not start registering until well over five on the deal so keep pumping. We floated around with it at 12 on a moving river.
Also, very unusual inflation valve. Need there pump. Never have seen a connection that would fit into this SUP. That could be a drag if something happens to the pump included with purchase.
Anyways, we are still absolutely thrilled and had a tremendous time the first time out. We even had over 500 pounds on it and it did just fine. Happy for our purchase.
